Getting Smart With: Beer, LinkedIn and Business Development

This spring, lyrics from Grateful Dead’s “Truckin’” have been running through my head. Specifically, “Lately it occurs to me what a long, strange trip it’s been.”  Every time I watch the news, read social media or talk to someone via the umpteenth Zoom meeting, that sticky music lyric pops up because in the department of, “You can’t make this shit up,” we are in the middle of a pandemic! These last two months have been a strange trip for you. For me. For everyone. In. The. World.

Was I in a mental funk last month and chose not to write a blog relating to content marketing because I felt I had nothing to add to the conversation nor the energy and focus on doing it? Yes. I gave myself permission to step away to figure out how to operate in this new reality (or new abnormal) that I hope will be temporary until a treatment and/or vaccine is developed.

In the meantime, my household is taking all the necessary precautions to keep ourselves healthy and not pollute others. Yup, I wear a mask when going to the store. And we are cheering on the scientists and healthcare workers who, with their vast knowledge, will one day make this go away.

So this happened while our world turned pear-shaped:  The guys from the Beer and Business podcast asked me to join them – in the studio – to talk about how to leverage LinkedIn to grow a small business (check out the link below to listen in.). Now it is the time to back fill your business development arsenal because when we all get back online, things will move fast, and you want to be prepared.

If you are not familiar with the Beer and Business podcast, you need to be. This is a show for business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs that want massive success. Jake, John, Darrin, and another guy named “Beer” strip out the BS, photo filters, and nonsense to deliver actionable strategies for normal people – like you and me. This podcast addresses many essential business topics in a way that is non-judgmental, familiar, and of course, fun.

Remember, OrangeCat Content Marketing can help you grow your presence on LinkedIn and other social media channels with relevant and actionable content to attract and acquire a clearly defined audience with the objective of driving profitable customer action. What’s your story?
